International Women's Day (IWD), originally called International Working Women’s Day is marked on 8th of March every year. This day celebrates the life of a woman who faces hardships with her inner strength. This date is also venerated at the United Nations and is designated in many countries as a national holiday. When women of all Countries where often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate their Day.

The idea of having an international women's day was first put forward at the turn of the 20th century a mid rapid world industrialization and economic expansion that led to protests over working conditions. The women from clothing and textile factories staged one such protest on 8 March 1857 in New York City. In 1975, which had been designated as International Women’s Year, the United Nations gave official sanction to and began sponsoring International Women's Day.
